SIGNATURE EVENT: ALUMNI & CORPS MEET & GREET
The Alumni & Corps Meet and Greet is an opportunity for alumni to welcome the incoming corps members who are just beginning their service year. Hosted during the first month of the corps year, the event, founded by City Year New York alumni, seeks to introduce corps members to alumni who have served before them, help orient them to their year of service, and connect them to alumni network. Last year, more than 300 alumni welcomed the 2008-2009 corps in ten sites from around the country.

Details: Come welcome the corps who will be congratulating the Alumni Team at the Reach the Beach finish line. Reach the Beach (RTB) is a 200 mile, 24 hour relay running race. City Year has been volunteering for the past 6 years to help with the event, sponsored by Timberland. Food will be provided and families are welcome to attend.
